We're travelers by nature, and absolutely love exploring the local flavor of a place instead succumbing to the typical itinerary other travel company's provide for tourists. He planned a highly personalized trip keeping in mind our personalities and preferences, and I have to say we had a blast! He gave us several options at every point, not tying us down to a fixed POA- which is perfect because it made room for spontaneity!! We explored Paris, Switzerland, Italy and Istanbul. "We made our first family vacation outside of India in April-May this year. Of all the places we chose to go to Europe, specifically Paris and Switzerland. There was a lot of apprehension mainly because we chose to go on our own and not through a tour operator.
The decision proved right because we had a fantastic time in Paris and Switzerland. We saw all that was worth seeing while retaining the flexibility to do it at our own pace. All this would not have been possible without the services of Amit Gilani of Travelbutler.in. He was fantastic. He helped us right from the stage of conceptualizing the trip to the planning and execution of all the activities during the trip including the places to stay, the places to visit and how to visit them, the train travel, and the plane tickets. His detailed planning ensured that we never had to ask for directions even once during the trip.

“As avid travelers Tyler and I were over-the-moon when we finally booked our 5-week trip to India. We arrived without having any scheduled travel details, intending to spontaneously move through the country, locking in plans only a few days in advance of our next destination. However, we quickly came to learn that booking rooms, finding flights and planning day trips wasn’t going to be easy as we hoped.
Thankfully we met Amit through a good friend of ours only 2 days into our trip. His expertise and detailed oriented personality was truly our saving grace. The hours that Amit spent working through the logistics of our trip: booking our flights, train rides, hotels and excursions, was a true blessing to us – and he didn’t miss a detail.
From white-water rafting down the Ganges river in Rishikesh, temple sightseeing in Haridwar, visiting the pink city of Jaipur, watching the sunset over the Taj Mahal, enjoying amazing prawn curry on Baga beach in Goa, houseboating in backwaters of Kerela and snorkeling off the remote Andaman islands- all this was only possible thanks to his knowledge, diligence and willingness to help.
When we remember our time in India we are so thankful for all that we saw and experienced and we are truly grateful for meeting Amit. Thanks to him, we saw more than we could have imagined in the short vacation we had. The security of knowing we had someone to call if we had problems was extremely valuable but most importantly we felt like he really cared and wanted us to experience the best trip of our lives.

“ On my first trip to Mumbai, I was meant to stay for a week and fly direct to Dubai for another week. However, my travel agent in UK had booked me on the wrong flight and I turned up on the airport unaware that I wouldn’t be able to fly out on the intended date. Out of my usual territory I felt slightly panicked and worried as the airport staff said that I could only fly to Dubai after 2 days or change the routing via Delhi. All this sounded very daunting. I called a friend and he put in touch with Amit- who for starters totally calmed me down and told me ‘don’t worry, I will get all this sorted out for you’. He took down my details and said he would revert asap. Within 20 mins, I receive a phone call to say that my flight to Dubai was booked for next morning and panic was over. I was so impressed- all I had to do was check-in into a local hotel and my tickets were delivered to me directly in my room. I was truly impressed by the quick, efficient and friendly service. It felt like as if my big brother had sorted everything out for me and I didn’t have to worry about a thing.
Being an Indian and living in the UK and being fairly well traveled you would think I’d be able to sort out my travel itinerary to India without major problems…but no! India being such a vast country traveling to new territories can be very daunting and not having local knowledge doesn’t help. I got in touch with Amit again and told him my intended travel plans to cities like Delhi, Jalandhar, Amritsar and 2 small villages. I was told to sit back and relax and all my travel needs would be attended to promptly. Within 24 hours I got an itinerary and detailed information to make a confident travel decision.
It is so nice to b dealing with someone who knows exactly what they are talking about. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to organize my travel plans for India or elsewhere but Amit. Amit’s personal touch is definitely his USP!
